Singapore has seven major AI training pathways available in 2026, ranging from government-funded SkillsFuture courses costing $0 to $500 after subsidy, to private bootcamps at $3,000 to $12,000. The right choice depends on your background: complete beginners should start with IMDA’s AI for Industry programme (free for Singaporeans); working professionals looking to upskill get the best value from NTU-subsidised short courses; career switchers targeting data science roles should look at General Assembly or NTUC LearningHub’s stackable certificates. Under the National AI Strategy 2.0, Singapore is targeting 15,000 trained AI practitioners by 2030 — which means funding and course availability are at an all-time high.

The 7 Best AI Training Centres in Singapore 2026
1. IMDA / AI Singapore (AISG) — Government-Backed, Free Entry Point
The Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) and AI Singapore (AISG) run the most accessible AI training programmes in Singapore — and the most subsidised. The AI for Industry (AI4I) programme is a 5-day intensive for non-technical professionals: no coding required. Cost: $500 before subsidy, $50 after SkillsFuture credit for Singaporeans. Over 20,000 professionals have completed it since 2019. For technically inclined learners, the AISG AI Apprenticeship Programme places candidates in paid AI project roles at companies for 9 months — effectively a funded on-the-job AI training path.
- AI4I (non-technical): $50 after subsidy for Singaporeans — 5 days, no coding required
- AISG Apprenticeship: 9-month paid placement ($1,800–$2,500/month stipend) at an AI company
- 100E Programme: Supports companies building AI prototypes — entry point for working with AISG-mentored AI teams
- Location: 1 Fusionopolis Way, Connexis North, Singapore 138632 — Buona Vista MRT (CC22/EW21)
- Apply: aisingapore.org
AI4I is the correct first step for non-technical Singaporeans who want to understand AI without learning to code. It covers AI concepts, prompt engineering, and business use cases in five days. Use your SkillsFuture credit to bring the cost to $50.
2. SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) — Funded Course Aggregator
SkillsFuture Singapore is not a training provider itself — it is the government’s funding and course accreditation framework. Every Singapore citizen aged 25 and above has a SkillsFuture Credit balance ($500 opening credit, with periodic top-ups) that can be used at any SSG-approved training provider. For AI courses specifically, SkillsFuture funding covers courses at NTU, NUS, SUTD, NTUC LearningHub, General Assembly, and dozens of private providers. The course browser at myskillsfuture.gov.sg lists all approved AI-related courses with funding amounts.
- SkillsFuture Credit: $500 base for all citizens 25+; $4,000 SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy for those aged 40+ switching to new fields
- Course search: myskillsfuture.gov.sg → filter by “Artificial Intelligence” or “Data Analytics”
- Approval check: Only courses with a “SkillsFuture Credit Eligible” badge qualify for credit drawdown
- Subsidy rates: SSG funds 70–90% of course fees for Singaporeans; employer-sponsored trainees may get 90% subsidy through ETSS
Use myskillsfuture.gov.sg as your first stop — search for AI courses, sort by “SkillsFuture Credit Eligible”, and compare the post-subsidy cost. Most 2-day to 2-week AI courses cost $200–$600 after subsidy for Singaporeans.
3. NTU Professional Learning — University-Backed Short Courses
Nanyang Technological University’s Professional Learning division runs AI and data science short courses for working professionals — structured as evening or weekend programmes that do not require leaving your job. The most relevant programmes for career upgraders: Certificate in Machine Learning (10 weeks, 3 hours per week, $1,500 after subsidy), Python for Data Analysis (6 weeks, $800 after subsidy), and AI in Business Strategy for managers (2 days, $600). NTU courses carry university brand recognition on a CV, which matters in Singapore hiring.
- Certificate in Machine Learning: $1,500 after SSG subsidy — 10 weeks part-time, Python knowledge required
- AI in Business Strategy: $600 after subsidy — 2 days, no coding required, for managers and executives
- Location: NTU campus (Jurong West) and online delivery available for most programmes
- Apply: ntu.edu.sg/pace
4. General Assembly Singapore — Career-Change Bootcamps
General Assembly (GA) runs the most intensive AI and data science bootcamps available in Singapore, designed for people making a full career switch into data science, ML engineering, or software development. The Data Science Immersive is the flagship: 12 weeks full-time or 24 weeks part-time, covering Python, statistics, machine learning, and model deployment. Cost: $14,500 before subsidy, approximately $4,500–$6,000 after SSG funding for Singaporeans. GA has strong employer partnerships in Singapore — graduates access a local hiring network that includes banks, tech companies, and startups.
- Data Science Immersive: $4,500–$6,000 after SSG subsidy, 12 weeks full-time
- Part-time option: 24 weeks, same curriculum — better for those who cannot quit their current job
- Location: 10 Eunos Rd 8, Singapore Post Centre — Paya Lebar MRT (EW8/CC9)
- Apply: generalassemb.ly/singapore
General Assembly is the right choice if you are making a full switch into data science and need both skills and a job placement network. The $4,500–$6,000 post-subsidy cost is high but justified if it leads to a $4,500–$7,000/month data science salary in Singapore.
5. NTUC LearningHub — Stackable Certificates, Accessible Locations
NTUC LearningHub is Singapore’s largest workforce training provider, with multiple training centres across the island including in Tampines, Paya Lebar, and Toa Payoh — making it the most accessible option for residents of Singapore East. The AI curriculum covers AI Fundamentals (1 day, $200 after subsidy), Applied Machine Learning (5 days, $500 after subsidy), and a Digital Marketing with AI programme (3 days, $400). Courses are WSQ-accredited, eligible for SkillsFuture credit, and issued with certificates that are recognisable to Singapore employers in non-tech functions.
- AI Fundamentals: $200 after subsidy — 1 day, suitable for non-technical professionals
- Applied Machine Learning: $500 after subsidy — 5 days, requires basic Python
- Locations: Tampines (closest to Singapore East), Paya Lebar, Toa Payoh, and others
- Apply: ntuclearninghub.com — courses run monthly
6. SMU Academy — Business-Focused AI Training
Singapore Management University’s Academy division specialises in AI for business and management contexts — less technical, more strategic. The AI for Business Leaders programme (2 days, $1,200 after subsidy) covers AI use cases, vendor evaluation, AI project management, and risk governance — designed for managers, directors, and C-suite executives who need to make AI investment decisions without building the models themselves. The AI Ethics and Governance certificate (3 days, $900) is increasingly relevant as Singapore regulators develop AI governance frameworks.
- AI for Business Leaders: $1,200 after subsidy — 2 days, for senior professionals
- AI Ethics and Governance: $900 after subsidy — 3 days, relevant for compliance and risk roles
- Location: SMU Campus, 81 Victoria St — City Hall MRT (EW13/NS25)
- Apply: academy.smu.edu.sg
7. AWS / Google Cloud / Microsoft — Vendor Certifications
The three major cloud providers — Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure — each offer AI and machine learning certifications that are globally recognised and frequently listed in Singapore job descriptions. In Singapore, authorised training partners deliver these courses in-person: AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty (exam cost $400, preparation courses $600–$1,200), Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer (exam cost $300, courses $500–$1,000), and Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate (exam $300, courses $600–$1,100). For fully free AI learning, AI Singapore’s online resources at learn.aisingapore.org are available to all without cost or registration.
Do I need a degree to attend AI training in Singapore?
No. Most short courses and SkillsFuture-funded AI programmes have no degree requirement. IMDA’s AI4I and NTUC LearningHub courses accept working adults from any educational background. Bootcamps like General Assembly’s Data Science Immersive require basic numeracy and some comfort with computers but not a degree. Only university-level programmes (NTU, NUS) typically require a degree for enrolment.
How long does AI training take in Singapore?
AI training in Singapore ranges from 1-day awareness workshops ($200) to 9-month apprenticeships. For a meaningful upskill that changes your employability, plan for 6–12 weeks part-time (evenings and weekends). For a full career switch into data science or ML engineering, full-time bootcamps run 10–16 weeks. SkillsFuture short courses of 2–5 days teach AI literacy and business use cases, not technical skills.
Which AI certification is most valued by Singapore employers?
AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty and Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer are the most frequently cited AI certifications in Singapore job postings in the tech and banking sectors. For non-technical roles, SkillsFuture-certified AI courses from NTU, SMU Academy, or NTUC LearningHub carry more relevance in local hiring decisions than international online certificates from Coursera or edX.
