The 2026 GST Voucher (GSTV) payments have already gone out — about 1.5 million adult Singaporeans received up to $850 in cash, and 710,000 seniors received up to $450 in MediSave top-ups, totalling roughly $1.4 billion disbursed this year. If you didn’t sign up in time for the August round, though, you’re not out of luck — the late sign-up window stays open until 20 June 2027, and you’ll still get paid within about two months of registering.
Haven’t received your GST Voucher and think you’re eligible? Sign up at govbenefits.gov.sg using your Singpass. If you signed up after 14 July 2026, expect payment within roughly 2 months of your sign-up date, not in the original August batch.
What Is the GST Voucher Scheme?
The GST Voucher was introduced in Budget 2012 as a permanent scheme to help lower- and middle-income Singaporeans offset GST and daily living costs. It has four components, and most households don’t realise they’re eligible for more than one:
- GSTV – Cash: paid every August to eligible adult Singaporeans
- GSTV – MediSave: paid every August to eligible seniors aged 65+, credited straight to your CPF MediSave Account
- GSTV – U-Save: quarterly utilities rebates for eligible HDB households (January, April, July, October)
- GSTV – S&CC Rebate: quarterly offset against Service & Conservancy Charges for eligible HDB households (same quarterly schedule)
2026 GST Voucher – Cash: Exact Amounts
Eligibility: Singapore citizen, aged 21 or above in 2026, Assessable Income for Year of Assessment 2025 not exceeding $39,000, and owning zero or one property.
| Annual Value of Home (as at 31 Dec 2025) | 2026 GSTV – Cash Amount |
|---|---|
| Up to $21,000 | $850 |
| More than $21,000 up to $31,000 | $450 |
Payment dates for those who signed up by 14 July 2026: PayNow-NRIC by 7 August 2026, GIRO by 18 August 2026, GovCash by 25 August 2026. Owning more than one property makes you ineligible for this component regardless of income.
2026 GST Voucher – MediSave: Exact Amounts
Eligibility: Singapore citizen, aged 65 or above in 2026, same property ownership and Annual Value conditions as GSTV – Cash.
| Age in 2026 | AV up to $21,000 | AV $21,001–$31,000 |
|---|---|---|
| 65 to 74 | $250 | $150 |
| 75 to 84 | $350 | $250 |
| 85 and above | $450 | $350 |
MediSave top-ups were credited automatically to eligible seniors’ CPF MediSave Accounts by 11 August 2026 — no action needed if you were already signed up.
U-Save and S&CC Rebates
Unlike Cash and MediSave, U-Save and S&CC Rebates are paid quarterly (January, April, July and October) directly toward eligible HDB households’ utility and service & conservancy charge bills — there’s no separate application if you’re already on record as an eligible HDB resident. Amounts vary by flat type and Annual Value; check your utilities/S&CC bill or govbenefits.gov.sg for your household’s exact figures, since these are adjusted periodically (for instance, enhanced U-Save amounts have been used in past years to help offset broader cost increases like the carbon tax).
How Payment Actually Works
PayNow-NRIC is the fastest and most private method — since 2021, MOF has used it as the default for anyone who has linked their NRIC to PayNow through a participating bank (which covers all major Singapore banks, including DBS/POSB, OCBC, UOB, and 13 others). If you’re not on PayNow-NRIC but bank with DBS/POSB, OCBC or UOB, you can submit your bank details on govbenefits.gov.sg to get paid via GIRO instead — still faster than the fallback.
If neither applies, payment defaults to GovCash, which takes about three weeks longer. GovCash can be withdrawn at any OCBC ATM islandwide using a Payment Reference Number (retrievable via Singpass login), your NRIC, and facial verification — no OCBC bank account required. GovCash funds can also be spent directly through the LifeSG app by scanning a PayNow/NETS QR code.
Scam warning, straight from MOF’s own release: Notification SMSes come from “gov.sg” and will only ever inform you of a benefit — you will never be asked to reply, click a link, or provide information. Government officials will NEVER ask you to transfer money or share banking log-in details over a phone call. If in doubt, call the 24/7 ScamShield Helpline at 1799.
Frequently Asked Questions
I think I’m eligible but haven’t received my GST Voucher — what do I do?
Check your eligibility and sign up (or update your bank details) at govbenefits.gov.sg using Singpass. The late sign-up window for the 2026 GSTV – Cash and MediSave runs until 20 June 2027 — if you register during this period, payment follows within about two months, not in the original August batch.
How much GST Voucher will I get in 2026?
GSTV – Cash is $850 or $450 depending on your home’s Annual Value. GSTV – MediSave ranges from $150 to $450 depending on your age and Annual Value. See the tables above for your exact tier.
Do I need to apply for GST Voucher every year?
No — once you’ve signed up and remain eligible, payments continue automatically each year. You only need to take action if you’ve never signed up, your bank details have changed, or you want to switch to a faster payment method like PayNow-NRIC.
Can I get GST Voucher if I own two properties?
No. Owning more than one property makes you ineligible for GSTV – Cash and GSTV – MediSave regardless of income or age.
